    Christy Claycomb, VMD
    Associate Veterinarian

Christy Claycomb, VMD is a 2006 graduate of University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. Since childhood, Dr. Claycomb has had a special connection with animals. She finds their unconditional love most comforting. While she loves being a veterinarian and the countless opportunities it provides to show empathy and alleviate suffering, it saddens her that the profession is often undervalued by many of the general public. Dr. Claycomb's interest include laser surgery, emergency medicine and keeping up-to-date as it relates to non-invasive techniques and therapy. Dr. Claycomb encourages all clients to ask questions regarding their pets' health and treatment options.

Dr. Claycomb is excited to be a part of JVA where employees are valued, heard and respected. She would absolutely choose being a veterinarian again and prays that the veterinary community as a whole can continue to gain the respect it deserves.

If she is not in the office trying to 'find the answer' for her clients, she keeps busy by managing her life with her 5 children and husband which includes enjoying time outdoors; championing a Bible2School program at her local elementary school; crafting; and designing custom t-shirts.

Dr. Claycomb is a member of the AVMA and PVMA.
